"Thus says the Lord: "Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord."

"As long as we are self-sufficient and complacent, we don't need to ask God for anything, we don't want Him; it is only when we know we are powerless that we are prepared to listen to Jesus Christ and to do what He says. "

What is my Purpose?

What is my purpose?  This question has been going through my mind a lot lately.
What is my purpose in life: To Glorify God and love Him forever.
You are probably thinking, okay I know that. Every Christian knows that.
My answer to that is, do they?
Does every Christian really know that? And if they do "know it", do they fully understand what that means?
Do you understand that God desires more than just a hour of your day, He desires your whole day, every minute of that day.  God must be glorified in every area of our lives.
Your business needs to be God's business. Think about it. Your body is not your own.
You are the temple of the most high God.  Jesus Christ lives and dwells within you.  Everything about us needs to reflect Christ. From going to the gas station to sitting down having a conversation with your family.
You must radiate Christ at all times.
I went to a Bible School this summer and one of the many things that was said that kept coming back to me was " never unplug".  Never think, or give into that feeling of " I need a break from reading the Bible, or I have been praying a lot lately, I think I need to take a break." I know those thoughts don't come exactly in that way, but they come bearing the same purpose.  I'm telling you right now those are lies straight from the enemy himself.
There is a quote, by Keith Green I can't remember it word for word, but it says something along the lines of, if you get bored with Jesus now, however are you going to stand being in His presence for all eternity.
Oh how I cannot stress to you enough how important God must be in our lives!  May He break all those barriers we have getting in the way of Him being our everything.  My prayer for you and for me is that Jesus Christ would come in and tear down those walls of Jericho that are standing in the way of Jesus being our everything. I know it will be hard and painful.  But I see my desperate need of Him and how He created me to live a life completely abandoned for Him and His glory.
May you see it too.    May He truly be your everything, minute by minute, day by day.

"But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh."

For the Glory of my King

So I am not quite sure how to begin my very first blog post.  I  am not too sure about having a blog period.
I'm quite bad at putting my thoughts into words  But the Lord has asked me to do this, and only because He has asked me, do I put my fingers to this keyboard and type.   So if you would bear with me as I try to put into words just what my God means to me and how much He has and does impact my everyday life.
May as you read this not think or dwell upon what Kenna has said or done but what her King and Savior has said and done.  May this blog be only about my Jesus and Him alone. For I assure you there is nothing I could possible say to interest you.  May all the Glory and Praise go to my Sweet and Precious King Jesus.
